Summed up the results of the Olympiad "Zvezda"

On May 31, the winners and prize-winners of the multidisciplinary engineering Olympiad "Zvezda" were awarded at the Ivanovo Polytechnic University.

In the final round, 33 schoolchildren received the status of winner or prize-winner, and in total more than 400 young experts from Ivanovo, Furmanov, Lezhnevo, Kineshma and other cities of our region took part in the competitions. The well-deserved awards were presented to the children by the rector of the Ivanovo Polytechnic Evgeny Rumyantsev, Chairman of the Ivanovo City Duma Alexander Kuzmichev and Director of the Ivanovo branch of Voentelecom JSC Vladimir Shmelev.

The Rector of the Polytechnic University noted that the Zvezda Olympiad is aimed at developing students' creative abilities, interest in research and engineering activities, and promotes their professional orientation. The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad receive preferences for admission to universities, including the Polytechnic. Many participants are already known here, because it was at our university that competitions in history, social studies, Russian language, economics, and natural sciences were held.

School graduates can apply for admission to the Ivanovo Polytechnic University as early as June 1. And those who are younger were invited to the summer IT School, which this year will be held in two directions. One will introduce teenagers to the secrets of doing Internet business, the second - to the world of professions and technologies related to the fashion industry.
